Elections are fast approaching for the Minnesota Corn Research & Promotion Council (MCR&PC).
Ballots for the upcoming elections will be mailed on March 18, 2014 to farmers who voted in last year’s election. If you did not vote last year, you have until Feb. 6, 2014 to request a ballot from the MCR&PC office or from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.
Completed ballots must be returned and postmarked no later than April 3. Results should be available by April 22.
Positions are three-year terms and there is one position open in each of the following districts:
District 1, 2 & 4
Becker County, Beltrami, Big Stone, Cass, Chippewa, Clay, Clearwater, Douglas, Grant, Hubbard, Itasca, Kittson, Koochiching, Lac Qui Parle, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, Marshall, Norman, Otter Tail, Pennington, Polk, Pope, Red Lake, Roseau, Stevens, Swift, Traverse, Wilkin & Yellow Medicine
District 7
Cottonwood County, Jackson, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Nobles, Pipestone, Redwood & Rock
District 8
Blue Earth County, Brown, Faribault, Freeborn, Le Sueur, Martin, Nicollet, Rice, Steele, Waseca & Watonwan
District 9
Dakota County, Dodge, Fillmore, Goodhue, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Wabasha & Winona
