MN Ag EXPO 2016 is one of several important farm events coming up this winter.

Corn harvest is in full swing here in Minnesota. If you’re a farmer in your combine at this very moment, or if you’re taking a minute before calling it a day to catch up on emails and other online activities, mark the dates for these post-harvest events and conferences on your calendar:

  • Dec. 15-16, 2015 — Conservation Tillage Conference (Willmar). University of Minnesota and North Dakota State Extension Services are teaming to host this conference. Whether you’re new to conservation tillage techniques or want to expand your already broad knowledge base, this is a conference you won’t want to miss. Full registration details can be found here.
  • January 27 and 28, 2016 — MN Ag EXPO 2016 (Mankato). Yes, EXPO is going to be two full days this year. We can no longer contain Minnesota’s biggest winter ag trade show and conference to just one day. We’ll have more details on EXPO as the dates approach,, but registration is now open and can be completed at www.MNAgEXPO.com. Registration is FREE for all farmers!
  • Feb. 9, 2016 — Nutrient Management Conference (Morton). Every year, the Nutrient Management Conference grows in popularity. That trend will likely continue this year as the best and brightest in nutrient management researchers from throughout the Corn Belt come together and share their knowledge with farmers, crop consultants and agriculture professionals. Registration and agenda details coming soon.
  • Feb. 23, 2016 — Nitrogen: Minnesota’s Grand Challenge and Compelling Opportunity (Rochester). University of Minnesota Extension has teamed with the Minnesota Agricultural Water Resource Center (MAWRC) to put on this second annual conference. This conference will focus entirely on nitrogen, and because MAWRC and Extension partnered to plan it, there will minimal topical overlap with the Nutrient Management Conference. Registration and agenda details coming soon.

The Minnesota Corn Growers Association is proud to support these events and several others throughout the winter months to help farmers improve. We hope to see you there!
