MN Ag EXPO 2017 is set for Wednesday and Thursday of next week at the Verizon Wireless Center in Mankato.

The Minnesota Corn Growers Association’s (MCGA) silent fundraising auction will be held from noon-4 p.m. and will be followed immediately by the live auction from 4-5:30 p.m., both on Wednesday. More than one hundred items, ranging from the practical to the one-of-a-kind, can come home with you if you place the winning bid.

All proceeds benefit MCGA and are used to advance organizational goals and objectives.

(Note: Funds raised during both the silent and live auctions are not used for MCGA’s political action committee, aka PAC. There is a separate PAC fundraiser breakfast scheduled for 7:00 a.m. on Thursday at EXPO.)

You can come to the live auction and bid on a 30-foot, 100,000-lb capacity tow rope—that ought to be enough to haul all your friends over to the auction. Or, you can bid to win a John Deere 4020 Pedal Tractor—great to entertain the grand kids.

There’s no shortage of the practical, fun and unique. Here’s a preview of just a few of the items up for bid next week:

  • 2011 Club CarRide around your farm in a 2011 Club Car (pictured) or a 2013 Club Car golf cart, each with seating for four and six, respectively. Both will be available for you to purchase next week.

  • 2010 SThis 2010 Semi-Trailer go-cart can accommodate adults up to 6’2″ and 250 lbs. (But we’re pretty sure kids will think it’s fun to drive too.)

  • And finally, don’t miss out on the opportunity to own this 2012 Aluma 7’x16’Enclosed Trailer with custom graphics package.

Again, these are just a few of the items up for auction next week. From tools to event tickets, seed corn to unique food and beverage packages, there is something for everyone and every budget at the MCGA auction.

We hope to see as many people as possible at EXPO next week, bidding on these great items and showing their support for Minnesota’s corn farmers. Don’t be left out of the fun, we’ll see you there!
