Meet Carrie Christenson, MCGA’s new district field manager

Carrie Christenson

Now that my first days with the Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA) staff are in the books, all of my anticipation and anxiousness was just as I had hoped it would be – well worth it!  I live in Waseca County and will be the new District Field Manager for the southeast region of Minnesota (see the list of specific counties below). I am very excited to be a part of this organization!

As for my background, I grew up on a small hobby farm outside New Richland raising and showing pigs and cattle, all of which greatly contributed to my strong passion for agriculture. My initial professional agricultural experience was with Central Valley Cooperative where I had the opportunity to work in their agronomy division and eventually as a sales agronomist focusing on account management with farmers from Owatonna to Hayfield. I also led the execution of their internship program.

Most recently, I partnered with member cooperatives in North Dakota, Montana and the Pacific Northwest as an ag business recruiter with Land O’Lakes. My focus included business development with local cooperative general managers and hiring managers, providing value to their operations while collaborating with internal business partners.

I appreciate that this role allows me to align closely with production agriculture and corn producers. I look forward to getting to know each of the counties, their unique perspectives and involvement at the local level.

I am thrilled to be a part of the team at MCGA and look forward to partnering with the county organizations and producers of southeast Minnesota!

Carrie Christenson represents the following counties:

Blue Earth
Goodhue/North Wabasha
Olmsted/South Wabasha
