Festival brings harvest fun to kids of all ages

The Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA) will be sponsoring the Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota’s Harvest Festival this fall. The annual event is a one-stop celebration for all your harvest fun, where attendees can learn about farming, explore growing crops, and even run through a maze and play in the corn and soybean pits.

Held through Oct. 31 at the museum in Mankato, the Harvest Festival will begin with a Vehicle Fair on Sept. 30 that will feature vehicles and equipment used on the farm. Other events include exhibits on butter and cider making, popcorn picking, pumpkin decorating and more. The Harvest Festival ends with a Halloween Parade on Oct. 31. You can learn more here.

MCGA sponsored the Harvest Festival to share information with the general public about farming and its impact in rural communities throughout Minnesota.
