Minnesota Harvest Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Minnesota Corn Research & Promotion Council (MCR&PC) has four seats up for election in 2018. Consisting of 11 corn farmers elected from throughout the state, MCR&PC works with the Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA) to administer the efficient and effective investment of Minnesota’s corn check-off

Districts voting for council members in 2018 include districts 1, 2 and 4; districts 3, 5 and 6, district 8 and district 9. To see which district your county is located in, click here. Council members representing each district work alongside MCGA grower leaders to identify and promote opportunities for corn farmers, while building better connections with the non-farming public.

Interested candidates must return both a completed MCR&PC Candidate Information Form and MCR&PC Candidate Certification Form to gilbertson@mncorn.org by January 29. To obtain the forms, visit mncorn.org/forms.

Farmers will automatically be mailed a ballot in March if they voted in last year’s election. Those who did not vote in last year’s election can request a ballot from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture here.
