My name is Harold Wolle. I am a member of the Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA) board of directors, and I will be seeking a position on the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) Corn Board in 2018. I will be attending Commodity Classic next week, and I hope to have the opportunity to meet many of you in person. But first, I would like to tell you a little about myself.

I farm 1,700 acres in Madelia, Minn., and I have more than 40 years of leadership experience in Minnesota’s ag sector. I have served on the board for a number of local organizations, and am a delegate to the US Grains Council where I serve on the Ethanol Advisory Team. With NCGA, I am a member of the Risk Management Team.

As a former MCGA president and current chairman of the MCGA board, I hope to bring my leadership experience to the national level where I can help direct strategy that will shape the future of American agriculture.

We are at a crucial point for corn growers nationwide, as policymakers continue their work on the next farm bill while low commodity prices are deeply impacting farms. I hope to have the opportunity to be a member of the Corn Board and work towards building a more sustainable future for American agriculture.

I look forward to discussing the challenges and opportunities each of you are facing while in Anaheim next week. Commodity Classic is one of the few chances we all have to come together, and I always look forward to meeting with growers outside of my home state.

I fully support the strategic priorities of NCGA’s Corn Board, and it would be an honor to represent you as a member of the Corn Board. I look forward to continuing our conversation as we lead up to Corn Congress in July.

Harold Wolle
Madelia, Minn.
