Meet Macy, MCGA’s newest District Field Manager

Macy Petrowiak Reading Time: 2 minutes

By Macy Petrowiak

Hello everyone! My name is Macy Petrowiak. I am a District Field Manager for District 4, which covers southwestern Minnesota (a full list of counties in my territory is below).

I grew up on a farm just south of Fairmont, where we grew corn and soybeans and raised a few cattle. While my family quit farming and raising livestock in 2008, my dad has continued to sell seed in addition to working his full-time job. I also worked as a farmhand for a neighbor for four summers. I love the outdoors and every aspect of farming! I have always been surrounded by agriculture and that is where my passion for agriculture began.

I was very involved in FFA throughout my high school years. I served as a reporter my junior year, and was president my senior year. While in FFA, I also participated in dairy judging for a career development event and attended the National FFA Convention in Louisville, Ky.

I recently graduated from South Dakota State University (SDSU) in December of 2018. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Consumer Affairs, with a specialization in Consumer Services Management along with two minors; Management and Agricultural Business. In college, I participated in the LeadState program, which is a leadership development program for second-year students at SDSU. I was able to be a part of this program as a student and then returned my junior year to be a mentor to sophomores.

I’m excited for this opportunity to serve Minnesota’s corn growers, as well as other producers and consumers. I look forward to meeting people in every aspect of corn and agriculture production and I strive to represent all growers and supporters. Feel free to reach out to me at mpetrowiak@mncorn.org or 507-848-4024. I would love to hear from you!

“The farm is more than land & crops. It’s our heritage, our legacy and our future: it’s our pride & passion.”
