Congresswoman Craig met with the Devney family at their farm

Earlier this week U.S. Representative Angie Craig traveled to the Farmington farm of Pat Devney, who is a board member for the Dakota/Rice Corn and Soybean Growers. The visit was a great opportunity to host Craig on a family farm to discuss today’s challenges and policy impacting growers in our state.

Joined by Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA) Vice President Les Anderson, the group toured the Devney farm while discussing the topics that are front-of-mind for Minnesota’s corn growers.

Strengthening markets for corn farmers is a priority for MCGA, and Devney and Anderson focused on the importance of trade certainty with Craig during her visit. The group specifically addressed the importance of ratifying the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement to protect corn farmers’ largest, most reliable markets.

Overall, the visit was a great opportunity to connect with Craig and shed light on the current state of Minnesota’s ag sector and the policy priorities for corn farmers in our state. MCGA appreciates the congresswoman taking the time to meet with grower leaders.
