Belgrade farmer, Golden Kernel award winner, reflects about serving on MCGA board

It’s hard for John Mages to pinpoint a single accomplishment he’s most proud of during his nine years serving on the MCGA board of directors. But if he had to pick one thing, he’d go with finally getting a new farm bill passed in early 2014.

“It took a long time to finish that farm bill,” Mages said. “But we needed it and we finally got it done.”

MN Ag EXPO 2015 is set for Wednesday and Thursday of next week at the Verizon Wireless Center in Mankato. Pre-registration is closed, but you will be able to register on-site, for free (!), on the day of the event.

The agenda is set for MN Ag EXPO 2015, Jan. 28-29 at the Verizon Wireless Center in Mankato. MN Ag EXPO is the free premiere annual event for Minnesota corn and soybean farmers, bringing together farmers, top ag researchers, leading agribusinesses and policy leaders for two days of educational sessions, a large trade show, networking opportunities and more.
