Minnesota Corn announces official partnership with 2026 Special Olympics USA Games

BURNSVILLE, MINN. (June 9, 2026) — Minnesota Corn, the state’s grassroots organization of corn farmers, has announced a partnership with the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games, set for June 20-26 in the Twin Cities.
Held every four years, the Special Olympics USA Games are a national celebration of inclusivity, changing perceptions and the ability of the human spirit rising above limitations. The 2026 games will draw nearly 3,000 athletes from all 50 states to the Twin Cities to compete in 16 Olympic-type team and individual sports. Competitions will be held at the University of Minnesota and National Sports Center in Blaine.
In a statement, Minnesota Corn Growers Association President Wes Beck said supporting the 2026 games is a natural extension of Minnesota Corn’s work to increase quality of life for all state residents.
“We at Minnesota Corn strongly believe in the values championed by Special Olympics—things like fairness, inclusion, and opportunity,” Beck said. “That’s why we’re so excited to be supporting the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games. We look forward to cheering on the dedicated and talented athletes from our fields as you shine in yours.”
As a proud partner, Minnesota Corn will have a tent in the Fredrikson Fan Zone at the National Sports Center. The organization will celebrate the athletes and their families and give them a chance to learn more about food, farming, and agriculture. Visitors will also be able to win special Minnesota Corn-themed prizes and connect with Maizey, the organization’s official mascot.
