Reading Time: < 1 minute

MN Ag EXPO 2018 is only two weeks away, and with that comes the Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA) Annual Meeting. On Jan. 25, corn farmers from throughout the state will congregate at the Verizon Wireless Center for a comprehensive update on MCGA activities, elections, resolutions and more.

Following the MCGA Resolution Session, MCGA President Kirby Hettver will kick off the annual meeting. Corn growers in attendance will receive an update on MCGA financials and membership, followed by the official adoption of 2018 resolutions.

MCGA board member Noah Hultgren will cover the legislative undertakings over the last year, including the latest on state and federal issues.

And as in past years, elections to the MCGA board of directors will be held. All six districts covering the state will have a director up for election.

MCGA will also be honoring individuals who have helped advance Minnesota’s corn sectors. The “Golden Kernel” award will be presented to an individual who had a positive impact on the state’s corn organizations, followed by the presentation of the “Friend of Ag” award to a key figure outside of MCGA who has helped elevate Minnesota’s corn growers.

Reports from Hettver as MCGA president, Minnesota Corn Research & Promotion Council Chairman Mickey Peterson and Executive Director Adam Birr will wrap up the 2018 annual meeting.

We hope to see you all there!
