Minnesota Corn returns to the Minnesota State Fair

The Minnesota State Fair returns Thursday, and the Minnesota Corn Growers Association is excited to once again have a multi-faceted presence at the fair. Attendees of the “Great Minnesota Get-Together” will be treated to a new corn-themed attraction, as well as fan favorites.

Debut of the Minnesota Corn Fairstalk

Debuting this year at the State Fair, the Minnesota Corn Fairstalk is a 24-foot-tall art installation celebrating Minnesota agriculture. The Minnesota Corn Growers Association and Minnesota Corn Research & Promotion Council proudly partnered with the State Fair to bring the Fairstalk to attendees as part of a larger renovation of the fairgrounds’ North End.

The eye-catching structure will feature corn facts and video featuring Minnesota’s corn farmers as they work to become the most sustainable and environmentally friendly corn farmers in the nation.

A-Maize-Ing Corn Day

A-Maize-Ing Corn Day returns to the Minnesota State Fair on Friday, Aug. 23..

Sponsored by the Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA), A-Maize-ing Corn Day is a celebration of all things corn.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., find Maizey and the Twin Cities Road Crew at the Christensen Farms stage where attendees will learn about the work of the state’s nearly 24,000 corn growers in an entertaining performance. Near the stage, MCGA will also have a tent full of activities, games and more.

MCGA is proud to sponsor a number of other ag-focused activities at the fair, including dairy activities at the Moo Booth, kids-focused activities at Kemps Little Farm Hands and the Minnesota 4-H Purple Ribbon Livestock Auction and Dairy Showcase.
