Minnesota Corn highlights corn farmer-supported research with podcast

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Each month, the Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA) will be releasing a podcast that highlights research supported through corn farmers’ investment in the check-off. Each episode will feature researchers discussing projects that identify new uses for corn and improve on-farm practices. The podcast is produced in partnership with Brownfield Ag News and hosted by Mark Dorenkamp.

The inaugural episode features Will Northrop, a professor at the University of Minnesota’s department of mechanical engineering. Northrop is leading a project that examines the role E85 could play in future electrified vehicles. His research focuses on using E85 in an internal combustion engine that charges the battery, acting as a range extender for electrified vehicles.
