Brandon Fast and Jim O’Connor were re-elected to their second term.

The Minnesota Corn Research & Promotion Council (MCR&PC) held elections this spring. Brandon Fast (District 7) and Jim O’Connor (District 8) were re-elected and David Vipond (Districts 1, 2 and 4) and Rodney Moe (District 9) were newly elected to MCR&PC.

Joining the MCR&PC, Vipond grows corn and soybeans in Mahnomen. Rodney Moe farms in Waltham where he grows corn and soybeans, as well as raises beef cattle.

Both elected for their second terms, Fast grows corn and soybeans in Mountain Lake, and O’Connor grows corn and soybeans, as well as raises hogs in Blooming Prairie.

The MCR&PC administers the efficient and effective investment of Minnesota’s corn check-off. Elected to three year terms, council members work alongside board members of the Minnesota Corn Growers Association to identify and promote opportunities for the state’s corn farmers, while building better connections with the non-farming public.
