Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Minnesota Corn Innovation Grant Program funds farmer-led research identifying practices that protect water quality while promoting soil health. The program has invested $700,000 in 37 original projects identifying practical innovations to nutrient management that can be replicated by Minnesota farmers.

Prior to entering its fifth year, The Innovation Grant Program was inducted into the Success in Stewardship Network, which was jointly launched by the National Corn Growers Association and Environmental Defense Fund to recognize sustainability successes in the field.

Linder Farm Network’s Lynn Ketelsen caught up with MCGA Executive Director Adam Birr and MCGA board member Bryan Biegler to discuss the success of the program and its recognition from conservation groups like the Environmental Defense Fund.
