The Minnesota Corn Growers Association Podcast has been downloaded nearly 500 times in its first few months of providing a front-row view of corn farmer-supported research. With its early success, new episodes will now be released twice per month, introducing listeners to the researchers shaping the future of agriculture.

To date, the podcast has released seven episodes, hosted by Brownfield Ag News’ Mark Dorenkamp who speaks with the researchers leading each project about their work and its impact for farmers. Each about 10 minutes in length, episodes to date include research on cover crops, corn-based plastics, E85 in electric vehicles, reducing nutrient loss and more.

The researchers interviewed in the MCGA podcast are leading projects funded through corn farmers’ investment in the corn check-off. MCGA supports about $2.6 million in research annually building a brighter future on the farm.

As more episodes are released, the best way to stay connected to the podcast is by subscribing at info.mncorn.org/podcast. Each podcast will be delivered directly to your inbox as soon as it is released. You can also find the MCGA podcast on Spotify and iTunes.
