This Wednesday, the Minnesota Corn Growers Association will team up with Kluis Commodity Advisors for the first of many quarterly marketing webinars. Immediately following the U.S. Department of Agriculture Crop Report, the webinar will offer farmers a look at marketing options available in the present.

“So often we have these seminars and webinars telling people what they should have done, but this will be based on the real-time marketing decisions you can make now,” said Al Kluis, a commodity and advisor broker since 1976 who will be hosting the webinar as managing director of Kluis Commodity Advisors.

Kluis said the webinar will be broken down into three parts: An analysis of the latest crop report, overview of the marketing decisions farmers can make based on the report, and overall education about what farmers can think about in the future when it comes to marketing.

The webinar will come at an especially volatile time in grain markets. Kluis hopes he can help decrease some of the anxiety by letting farmers know there are options.

“I understand the frustration, and I can’t magically help farmers,” Kluis said.  “But I can provide the educational tools and concepts that makes it easier to make the right decisions.”

The Quarterly Marketing Webinar is free for all MCGA members. You can register here.
