Last week, Minnesota Corn hosted an Indian trade delegation in partnership with the U.S. Grains Council. The delegation attended a biofuels course at NCI, where they were introduced to the agricultural foundations of the biofuels industry, from farm to product and everything in between. Following the biofuels course at NCI, the group spent two days visiting Minnesota, focusing on the inclusion and value of DDGS to poultry and dairy operations.

The group, made up of representatives from ethanol, feed, and dairy producers, started their Minnesota visit at the Elbow Lake co-op, where they saw firsthand how U.S. corn is received and handled at a grain elevator. They then made their way to the University of Minnesota St. Paul campus to meet with poultry and dairy researchers and learn more about incorporating DDGS. The group spent significant time getting answers to essential questions on the value of DDGS.

The group also visited the Ag Partners elevator and feed mill in Goodhue where they learned more about grain receiving before exploring the feed mill and how Ag Partners works with DDGS. They ended their Minnesota visit by stopping at Gar-Lin Dairy near Eyota, MN. Dana and Jim gave the group a tour of their operation.
