The Minnesota Corn college scholarship program, which provides up to four Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA) student-members with a $5,000 scholarship, is now accepting applications for the 2025-26 school year.

Now through Jan. 5, 2025, students can apply through Minnesota Corn’s online application portal. To qualify, a student must be an MCGA member pursuing a degree and career in agriculture and carry a full-time courseload during the fall 2025 semester. An MCGA student membership is $20 and can be purchased online at mncorn.org/join.

Students must submit three short essays, a current high school or college transcript, a resume, and a letter of recommendation as part of the application. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Scholarship decisions will be announced by March 3, 2025.

Since 2019, as part of its mission to promote opportunities for future agriculture leaders, Minnesota Corn has funded $100,000 in scholarship for 20 students. You can read more about how the Minnesota Corn scholarship program has impacted the lives of students here.

Minnesota Corn’s college scholarship is one of several offered by corn grower associations. Some of Minnesota’s 52 organized county corn grower associations also offer scholarships. Information on those opportunities can be found here.
