Minnesota Corn has wrapped up another successful Farmfest! Scores of farmers, family members, elected officials, and members of the public joined Minnesota Corn at the annual trade show and celebration of agriculture at Gilfillan Estate near Morgan.

A highlight of the event was a roundtable and press event held by USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins in the Minnesota Corn tent on the first morning. Secretary Rollins announced several steps USDA is taking to support America’s farmers, including a series of listening sessions across the country to hear directly from farmers as USDA rolls out a Data Modernization Plan across multiple agencies. She also announced two key crop insurance updates through USDA Risk Management Agency, giving farmers 60 extra interest-free days to pay premiums and restoring the option for an additional 5% in prevented-planting coverage.

The event also featured a series of forums with candidates for congress, governor, and Senate ahead of Tuesday’s primary election in Minnesota. Candidates and elected officials also made their way to the Minnesota Corn tent to talk with farmer-leaders about conditions in farm country and policies that affect farm families.

In the Minnesota Corn tent, farmer-leaders highlighted how the Minnesota corn checkoff is building opportunities for family farmers, and they noted the benefits of MCGA membership. Farmers who signed up for or renewed their MCGA membership during the event received a special prize.

And of course, a highlight of the event was the free samples of sweet corn ice cream distributed by Minnesota Corn staff and farmer-leaders. No stop to Farmfest is complete without this summertime treat!

Minnesota Corn thanks all of the candidates and elected officials who took the time to learn about issues affecting family farmers. We also thank the many farmer-leaders who volunteered their time to make Farmfest 2026 a success. View photos from Farmfest below.
