Annual Minnesota Farmers Union Convention

November 21, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

Programming begins at 10 a.m., and the “room” will open at 9 a.m. for registration. You will be considered a registered delegate simply by signing onto the Zoom meeting between 9 and 10:30 a.m. on the 21st. The meeting ID has been mailed and will also be emailed to delegates. Delegates do not need to take any action other than logging into the Zoom meeting.

The agenda will still be abbreviated, consisting of rules and bylaws change discussion, re-affirming our policy document, debating special orders of business and electing delegates for the next National Farmers Union Convention, which will likely also be virtual, in March. The special orders, set forth by the Policy Committee, will address many resolutions from your county conventions.

If you have a schedule conflict and need to upgrade an alternate from your county to take your place, please contact your county president and have them approve the upgrade by 8 p.m. on Friday, November 20. Delegates should call their county president and Molly Jansen, MFU Operations Coordinator, at (651) 288-4060 or molly@mfu.org if they cannot attend. It is then the county president’s responsibility to contact their county’s alternates to secure a replacement. If an alternate confirms they can attend, the county president must then contact Molly to finalize the upgrade. We cannot guarantee a county’s representation until the county president completes the upgrade process and the alternate logs onto the meeting. Alternates should not attend unless they have upgraded.
