The Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA) took home the top prize for best campaign element directed to consumers at the 2021 National Agri-Marketing Association’s regional “Best of NAMA” award show, held last week. The “Farmer’s Voice” video series, filmed in partnership with AgriLife studios, was recognized for the captivating story told through the perspective of Minnesota’s corn farmers.

Filmed in July, the series features two farmers—Jocelyn Schlichting of Rice and D.J. VanKlompenburg of Montevideo—sharing why they became a farmer, their commitment to conservation and the issues that impact farmers and their families. Each video went on to share the stories of each farmer in an advertising campaign reaching the non-farming public online and through streaming services like Roku and Hulu.

The video series will move on for consideration at the national “Best of NAMA” award show, held in Kansas City on April 21.
