MDA, U of M Extension post drought resources online

Looking for resources to help navigate the drought? The Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) and University of Minnesota Extension have you covered.
MDA has created a central webpage with links to resources that could help farmers navigate the drought. It includes links to the U.S. Drought Monitor; fact sheets on grassland management and conservation practices; the state conservation grazing map; the Minnesota Farm Advocates website; and more.
Meanwhile, Extension has posted new articles on its Minnesota Crop News blog detailing factors to consider when deciding whether to plant forage cover crops or harvest corn as sileage or baleage. Another Extension article lists factors to consider when deciding whether to harvest Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) land for hay, and a new Extension podcast discusses fall fertilizer decisions.
