Minnesota drivers are getting a primer on the benefits of E15 and higher-blend biofuels, thanks to a new online video series from the Better Fuel Initiative.

In a new Better Fuel Initiative video series, actors from Twin Cities Road Crew provide key facts on Unleaded 88.

In partnership with the American Lung Association in Minnesota, the Better Fuel Initiative has launched six videos that provide key facts on E15, also known as Unleaded 88, and higher-blend biofuels. The videos were created by Twin Cities Road Crew, a marketing and professional events firm. They also note the benefits of ethanol-blended fuels, which include reduced vehicle emissions, a lower cost and a higher octane rating.

The Better Fuel Initiative is an effort by the Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA) to further increase awareness about and understanding of biofuels in Minnesota, specifically Unleaded 88.

Offered at more than 390 fueling stations in Minnesota, Unleaded 88 is approved for year-round use in passenger vehicles model year 2001 or newer. In addition to reducing emissions, boosting octane and costing less than regular fuel, it helps reduce our reliance on petroleum, is better for trade and supports rural Minnesota communities.

In addition to the video series, the Better Fuel Initiative has partnered with KFAN “Power Trip” morning show co-host Chris Hawkey this year to share information on the benefits of Unleaded 88. Hawkey has been the voice and face of a series of radio, digital, TV, billboard and truck-wrap ads promoting the benefits of Unleaded 88.
