MCR&PC seeks candidates for open seats

The Minnesota Corn Research & Promotion Council (MCR&PC), the entity responsible for effectively administering the Minnesota corn check-off, is seeking candidates for election to three seats in 2022.
The three seats up for election in 2022 represent MCR&PC District 3/5/6, District 7 and District 8, respectively. To see which district your county is located in, click here.
Interested candidates must submit the MCR&PC Candidate Information Form and the MCR&PC Candidate Certification Form to Missy Gilbertson at gilbertson@mncorn.org by noon on Jan. 27.
Farmers will automatically be mailed a ballot in March if they voted in last year’s MCR&PC election. Those who did not vote in last year’s election can request a ballot by contacting the Minnesota Corn office at 952-233-0333. Completed ballots must be postmarked by April 4. Results will be announced in the spring.
The MCR&PC consists of 11 corn farmers from across the state elected by their peers. Council members representing each district work alongside Minnesota Corn Growers Association farmer leaders to identify and promote opportunities for corn farmers, while building better connections with the non-farming public.
