A Minnesota Corn-supported radiothon that raises funds for Second Harvest Heartland, a hunger-relief organization serving 59 Minnesota and western Wisconsin counties, will be held Thursday.

The 14th annual Let’s Kick Hunger Day Radiothon will be held from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday on WCCO Radio. Minnesota Corn supports the radiothon as part of our mission to improve quality of life for corn farmers, rural communities, and all Minnesotans.

Donations are encouraged throughout the day. You can donate online at 2harvest.org/kickhunger or by calling 952-886-HERO. One-hundred percent of donations will help provide meals to local families.

According to WCCO Radio, food shelves are reporting visitor increases as high as 30%. For too many, wages are not keeping up with inflation, making everyday grocery staples suddenly unaffordable. An estimated 338,000 Minnesotans, including over 121,000 children, are facing hunger right now.

Just $1 can help Second Harvest Heartland distribute three meals to our hungry neighbors. A gift of $50 will help provide three emergency food boxes, each containing eight meals.
