Join Minnesota Corn at Farmfest 2025!
Minnesota Corn will once again have an active presence at Farmfest, the annual farm show and agriculture celebration at Gilfillan Estate near Morgan. This year’s show will run next Tuesday through Thursday, Aug. 5-7.
Join Minnesota Corn in Tent 702 at the corner of Seventh Street and Seed Row to learn about how the organization is creating opportunities for growers and enhancing quality of life for agricultural communities. Join or renew your membership in the Minnesota Corn Growers Association to receive a special gift. Membership in MCGA is an investment in the future of corn farming in Minnesota and powers the organization’s grassroots advocacy in St. Paul and Washington, D.C. It also supports local community programs and the Minnesota Corn scholarship program for young adult members.
New this year, a focus of the Minnesota Corn tent will be the “Checkoff Delivers” campaign that spotlights the economic impact of the Minnesota corn checkoff. For 35 years, the checkoff has created opportunities for corn farmers and their communities through investments that create demand, enhance research, and connect communities. A recent analysis of checkoff investments from 2005 to 2024 found that for each dollar invested in domestic market activities through the checkoff, Minnesota farmers see an $87 return.
Farmfest will also give attendees the chance to hear from policymakers and agriculture leaders on important agricultural topics as part of the forum series in the Wick Building. That includes forums on how artificial intelligence is reshaping agriculture, the farm safety net, sustainable aviation fuel, trade, and the future of agricultural higher education.
