Photos: Taiwan trade delegation visits Minnesota

Minnesota Corn recently welcomed a delegation from Taiwan, which included government officials, academics, and senior industry leaders. Before arriving in Minnesota, the group participated in the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council’s Global Ethanol Summit. During their visit to Minnesota, the delegation toured several key locations to better understand the corn and ethanol value chain. Their itinerary included stops at the Minnesota Corn Office, the University of Minnesota, Red Wing Grain, Guardian Energy, and O’Connor Family Farms.
These visits provided them with valuable knowledge about the production and utilization of corn and the processes involved in ethanol production. A significant focus of their visit was to explore effective strategies for launching an ethanol-blending program that aligns with Taiwan’s climate initiatives. The group was particularly interested in learning how such a program could support their country’s environmental goals. Throughout their interactions, the Taiwanese delegation expressed their appreciation for the professionalism and warm hospitality they experienced from Minnesota. Overall, the visit was marked by constructive discussions and a collaborative spirit. Minnesota Corn thanks to Jim and his family for welcoming the team during the busy harvest season.
