What you can expect at MN Ag Expo 2026

MN Ag Expo, the free winter convention hosted annually by Minnesota Corn and Minnesota Soybean, returns this week! The 2026 event kicks off tonight with a welcome reception at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center in Mankato, followed by two days of education sessions, networking, demonstrations, a trade show, and more.
The online registration deadline for MN Ag Expo has passed, but we’d still love to have you, even if you’re not yet registered. Walk-ups are welcome to attend.
Here is what you can expect from Minnesota Corn during the event.
On the trade show floor
Stop by the Minnesota Corn booth (#56) to learn about how Minnesota’s corn organizations are promoting opportunities for farmers while enhancing quality of life.
See how your investment in the Minnesota corn checkoff is delivering programs that build a better future for corn farmers and all Minnesotans. Learn about the grassroots advocacy by Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA) farmer-leaders for policies that ensure corn farmers can maintain access to both crop production tools and markets. You can also learn about Minnesota corn farmers are increasing the productivity and efficiency of corn farming while supporting agricultural economies–efforts that are highlighted in the second edition of the organization’s Sustainability Report, which was released this month.
Additionally, hear from researchers and farmers who are conducting projects funded by the Minnesota Corn Research & Promotion Council aimed at increasing crop productivity and delivering new markets for corn. Minnesota Corn leadership and staff will be at the booth both days to help new and renewing members fill out membership forms.
Membership costs $75 annually, though if you have sold at least 7,500 bushels of corn in the past year and paid into the Minnesota corn checkoff, you may qualify for a one-year membership at no cost. For people ages 16 to 24, membership costs $20 annually.
Minnesota Corn events
MCGA will hold its county reception at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow, which will include a raffle and live auction. MCGA will hold its annual resolution session at 8 a.m. on Wednesday followed immediately by its annual meeting
Speaker lineup
On Tuesday, speakers will include agricultural economist Dr. Megan Roberts, who will talk about key economic factors shaping agriculture, and Jason Marthaler of CHS, who will talk about global trade flows. Additionally, farm CPA Paul Neiffer will talk about the impact of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, and Kent Thiesse will moderate a panel on ag priorities for the 2026 state legislative session. The dinner keynote speech on Tuesday will be given by Minnesota State women’s hockey coach John Harrington, who was a member of the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team.
On Wednesday, there will learning sessions on the intersection between global events and local fertilizer prices, mental health, and the importance of U.S. agricultural trade with Mexico and Canada.
