MCGA welcomes three new board members, reelects five

Last week during its annual meeting at MN Ag Expo in Mankato, the Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA), the state’s grassroots organization for corn farmers, held elections to its 18-member board of directors. Five farmers were reelected to the board, and three were elected for the first time.
Reelected to the board were Wes Beck of St. James, Angela Guentzel of Kasota, Nick Peterson of Clear Lake, Tim Waibel of Courtland, and Todd Wentzel of Murdock. Newly elected were Mark Enninga of Rochester, Shayne Isane of Badger, and Adam Jones of Lake Crystal.
In a statement, Beck, who is serving as MCGA president in 2026, congratulated the newly elected farmer-leaders and thanked all candidates who ran for the board. He also commended outgoing farmer-leaders Bryan Biegler, Clayton Johnson, and Harold Wolle for their outstanding service on behalf of farmers.
“Advocating on behalf of family farmers takes hard work and dedication, characteristics that Bryan, Clayton, and Harold consistently demonstrated during their service,” Beck said. “I’m grateful to have served alongside these farmer-leaders and look forward to working with Mark, Shayne, and Adam as they transition onto the board.”
Also at its annual meeting, MCGA recognized several leaders for their contributions to agriculture. Jim Kanten was presented with the Gavel Award in recognition of his service as MCGA president in 2025. State House Agriculture Co-Chair Paul Anderson received the Friend of Agriculture Award, and Wolle was presented with the Golden Kernel Award.
