Last Wednesday, the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture advanced the Agriculture Act of 2026, or Farm Bill 2.0, on a 12-11 vote. In response, the Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA) issued the following statement:

“MCGA is pleased to see Farm Bill 2.0 take another step toward becoming law. The legislation contains bipartisan provisions that would bolster markets and address input costs concerns at a time of rising input costs, low commodity prices, and weather and market volatility. Notably, it includes common-sense provisions like year-round E15, mandatory fertilizer price reporting, and funding export promotion programs.

MCGA appreciates the leadership of Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Boozman in advancing the legislation and looks forward to working with lawmakers in both parties to finalizing a Farm Bill 2.0 that provides meaningful relief and opportunity for our farm families.”
