Hello everyone!

My name is Kennedy Janssen and I am the new District 3 Field Manager for the Minnesota Corn Growers Association.

I am originally from Sherburn and have been [literally] surrounded by corn fields and many facets of agriculture my entire life. I am very excited to continue to work in our state’s incredible ag sector and to have the opportunity to communicate with famers and consumers alike; sharing the good news of agriculture and promoting corn across Minnesota.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota (Go Gophs!) this past May with a degree in Agricultural Communication and Marketing with minors in Sustainability Studies and International Agriculture. Throughout college I was able to intern for Minnesota Pork and travel abroad to work on farms in Switzerland and teach English in Costa Rica.

After graduation I had the opportunity to be the marketing intern for The trū Shrimp Company where I learned the ins and outs of a start-up company, gained an understanding of aquaculture, and how to market shrimp throughout the Midwest. I have recently returned to the metro area, currently living in Lakeville. When I’m not working, you can either find me at the lake, a Gopher football game, or traveling whenever and wherever I can.

I am thrilled to be a part of MCGA and look forward to meeting each one of you and working with you all.  Please feel free to reach out to say hello or if you have any questions (kjanssen@mncorn.org).
