Fillmore SWCD spring farmers meeting

Southeast Minnesota corn growers are invited to an upcoming meeting hosted by the Fillmore Soil and Water Conservation District focused on nitrates, groundwater, and nutrient management. The meeting will be held on March 27 from 11:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fountain Community Center (95 Main Street, Fountain, MN 55935). The event is free, but growers are asked to register by March 22.

The meeting will cover the state’s plan to address nitrates in southeast Minnesota, best practices for fertilizing corn in the region, and the Minnesota Agricultural Water Quality Certification Program. Lunch will be provided.
