Farmfest Livestream brings forums to viewers statewide

Reading Time: < 1 minute

From gubernatorial candidates and senate hopefuls to the future of biofuels, the forums scheduled at Farmfest this year will be can’t-miss viewing for the state’s ag sector. For those unable to make the trip to Gilfillan Estate, the Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA) is proud to announce its partnership with IDEAg and Farmfest for the first-ever Farmfest Livestream of each panel discussion.

The Farmfest Livestream will make each forum held in the Wick Building viewable from home at Farmfest.com. You can see the forum schedule here.

As the exclusive sponsor of the Farmfest Livestream, MCGA is making each forum accessible statewide so farmers and all Minnesota residents can hear from candidates on the issues impacting Minnesota agriculture prior to November’s midterm elections. For viewers not directly involved with agriculture, the livestream will also further highlight the impact of corn and corn farming, and the pivotal role farm families play in helping to strengthen our state.

MCGA also partnered with WCCO News Radio as the official broadcast partner of WCCO’s live Farmfest coverage. This includes live coverage of the Minnesota Gubernatorial Candidate Forum, held Aug. 8 at 10:30 a.m. The WCCO/MCGA partnership is another opportunity to raise awareness of the issues impacting corn farmers and their families, and agriculture overall by bringing the forum to WCCO’s statewide audience.
