Webinar series provides marketing insight following USDA crop reports

The Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA) has partnered with Kluis Commodity Advisors to provide farmers with quarterly marketing webinars following the release of U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Crop Reports.
A commodity advisor and broker since 1976, Al Kluis will host each webinar providing valuable insight on how the crop report impacts price projections and marketing decisions for Minnesota’s corn farmers. With the continued volatility in the grain markets, only further impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the webinar will help farmers navigate the economic headwinds of today.
The first webinar will be held on July 1 at 2 p.m. (Register here), following the June crop report from the USDA. The September crop report will be analyzed during a Sept. 15 webinar held at 2 p.m.
“Following a great planting season for corn farmers nationwide, we are seeing USDA projections of a near-record corn crop in 2020,” MCGA President Les Anderson said. “Each webinar will bring together decades of experience to help farmers make the right marketing decisions in the year ahead.”
MCGA partnered with Kluis Commodity Advisors earlier this year for a webinar providing a market outlook during COVID-19. The 50-minute webinar, which you can view here, provided context on what continues to be an unprecedented time in agriculture. Future webinars will address the continued ripple effects of the pandemic in addition to other factors impacting the market.
These webinars are offered free to MCGA members. You can register here.
