Heading to Farmfest? The Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA), located in Tent 702, will once again be the place to be throughout the three-day trade show. Knowing there is a lot to see on the Farmfest grounds, here are a few items you won’t want to miss from the state’s corn farmers:
A great perk for signing up or renewing your MCGA membership
Stop by the tent and fill out and turn in a membership application for a premium head lamp with endless uses on and off the farm.
Sweet corn ice cream makes its return
A Farmfest staple, sweet corn ice cream will again be served up in the Minnesota Corn tent. Stop by for a delicious sample!
Field Work podcast meet-and-greet
Zach Johnson and Mitchell Hora, who host the podcast focused on sustainable agriculture, will be in the Minnesota Corn tent on Tuesday to chat with Farmfest attendees over the noon hour.
WCCO Radio in the booth
WCCO’s Dave Lee in the Morning will be broadcasting live from the Minnesota Corn tent on Wednesday from 6 to 9 a.m. Tune in on the way to Farmfest to hear Dave Lee chat with members of Minnesota’s ag sector or stop by to catch the end of show live.
2020 Innovation Grant Program unveiled
Are you a farmer with a conservation-minded idea? The RFP period for the Innovation Grant Program is open at Farmfest, and grower leaders will be on-hand to answer any questions you have. You can also learn more at mncorn.org/research.
How “MN Corn Grows MN” is on display
Come for the sweet corn ice cream, but stay to learn about the many great efforts by the state’s corn farmers over the last year. Innovative research investments, exciting ethanol updates, and the latest on policy impacting farmers will all be front and center in the booth.

A board member with both the Minnesota Corn Growers Association and National Corn Growers Association, Harold Wolle will be participating in the “Ag Policy Discussion with National Ag Leaders” forum on Tuesday at 10:30am. You can also hear from MCGA President Brian Thalmann during the Linder Farm Network Noon Show in the Wick Building on Wednesday.
